What leaders are saying...
about Leadership Connexion…
In August of 2005 I assumed leadership of the Global Outreach Team at Sunset Presbyterian Church in Portland. The former team leader had moved with his family to full time ministry in southern Africa. One of the first things I asked the team was “how would you describe missions at Sunset”. They quickly said “a mile wide and an inch deep”. That gave us a lot to talk about over the next few months. Then I learned about the Leadership ConneXion that was coming up in January 2006 as part of the Mission ConneXion Northwest Missions Conference. I immediately signed up our whole team to attend. It was an amazing help for our team. Bruce Camp (DualReach) was the speaker and his topic was, “How to Gain Focus on Your Mission’s Effort.” It could not have been more timely. It gave us solid ideas to talk about and begin to implement. Bruce will once again be the speaker at the 2017 Leadership ConneXion. I encourage you to take your team and check it out. Going as a whole team has a huge benefit.

Leadership ConneXion provides a full day seminar that both informs and challenges leaders and inquirers to new depths and new directions in missions. It more than whets the appetite, it provides substance that is immediately usable as well as material grow into the future of missions. By His Grace,

Several years ago I started taking Leadership ConneXion on the Friday morning before the start of Mission ConneXion Northwest. I have continued to take them every year. I have found them to have exceptional instructors who have challenged me in each one of the courses. The topics always seem to be relevant to what I need to learn. I feel that Leadership Connexion not only helps me as an individual but also helps our church grow in missions. Delving into areas that are unknown in missions can be scary, but Leadership Connexion makes it easy to learn and increases the network of people who can assist you in areas that promote the needs of you and your congregation. Learning from each other about what works and what doesn’t is important. Let’s do missions right by learning from each other and networking solutions for the Kingdom. I am looking forward to this year’s Leadership ConneXion and excited to be able to learn more about finding the passion that will connect me with my neighbor and answer the question of “Who IS my neighbor?” I hope to see you there…and I almost forgot to mention…they feed you lunch!

Leadership ConneXion has always been a super beneficial experience for me and for those I have taken. Quality presentations, relevant topics, exposure to helpful resources and the opportunity to connect with other leaders are among the many blessings one can expect at this event.

Leadership Connexion and Mission Connexion give us the encouragement to keep us on track. We come from a small church and don’t have a large mission program. We enjoy being with people who are like minded and the workshops help us grow. We have been on several mission trips: Brazil,
Haiti, India, Arizona, Montana and Honduras. Leadership Connexion and Mission Connexion keeps us motivated. We enjoy the worship and it’s great to see so many youth and have watched Mission Connexion grow each year. The Mission Connexion team does a great job. Thank you!
