Prayer ConneXion – An Essential Service
Bill MacLeod, with James Autry, Serving Our Neighbors
The Prayer & Spiritual Warfare Track at Mission ConneXion is one of the most attended workshops each year and because of this overwhelming interest in Where Prayer & Mission Connect, we were compelled to expand the impact of Mission ConneXion and continue to create a special event later in the year!
This year, we are very honored to invite you to join us for our 6th annual Prayer ConneXion, Friday & Saturday, May 14th & 15th, both in person at Emmanuel Temple Church AND virtually via our new website, PrayerConnexion.com. Emmanuel Temple is an historic church in the heart of the African American neighborhoods of Portland and is located at 1033 North Sumner Street, Portland, OR 97217.
In partnership with the local Prayer Initiatives of TogetherPDX, PrayerPDX, 24/7 Prayer USA, Clark County Prayer Connect and Serving Our Neighbors, we are excited to introduce you to our Keynote Speakers, Jon Tyson from New York City and Michelle Jones, one of our own local Pastors and Leaders.
Jon is originally from Adelaide, Australia, but moved to the United States over 2 decades ago with a passion to seek and cultivate renewal in the Western Church. He is the author of Sacred Roots: Why the Church Still Matters and The Burden Is Light. Jon & his family lives in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan and he serves as the Lead Pastor of the Church of the City New York.
Michelle is a teaching pastor at Imago Dei Community in Portland, OR, where she also oversees Prayer, Spiritual Formation and Global Outreach. She is convinced that her background in entertainment—specifically as an award-winning comedy writer—uniquely prepared her for ministry. God is, after all, the original and ultimate storyteller, and mankind’s attempts to play God are, at best, comical.
Prayer ConneXion will also feature 2 breakout sessions of 10 different workshops and Saturday’s lunch is included for those that attend in person! One of the unique aspects of Prayer ConneXion has always been that we have dedicated the same amount of time for prayer, as we have for teaching and training, in each keynote session and each workshop. So, this really is a praying event, as well as a conference on prayer.
The Registration is $20 for virtual only participates, $22 for students, $34 for individuals and $63 for couples. After April 30th, registration is $25 for students, $39 for individuals and $69 for couples. Also, churches and ministries can purchase groups of 5 or more for $29 each, but registration must be done at the same time for everyone in the group.
So, make plans now to join us for Prayer ConneXion on Fri & Sat, May 14thand 15th either in person at Emmanuel Temple or online via Zoom links on our website. Register Today at PrayerConnexion.com.
