Three 4 Prayer

By Bill MacLeod, Executive Director

This September 15-17 we will host our 7th annual Prayer ConneXion we are calling “Neighbors to Nations”. Designed originally to help people effectively participate in prayer to advance mission mobilization, we have enjoyed drawing together the prayer community in Portland for a unique focus – “where Prayer + Mission Connect”.

This year we will be challenged by three individuals who have each experienced their own “Prayer and Mission” journey and lead ministries inviting others to join them. This year we will gather at Greater Portland Bible Church.

Tyler Staton is the lead pastor of Bridgetown Church in Portland, Oregon, as well as the National Director of 24-7 Prayer USA. Up until two years ago he served as the lead pastor of a church in Brooklyn, New York. In his book, “Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools”, Staton has helped believers wrestle with topics like:

    • Expressing doubts and disappointments about prayer
    • Discover and practice multiple postures of prayer, including silence, persistence, confession, and more
    • Understand and embrace the wonder and mystery of prayer in everyday life
    • Realize that prayer is a powerful invitation to partner with God in the redemption of a fallen world
    • Open or reopen the line of communication with Creator, and experience afresh His divine power on earth.

Victor Alvarizares has been the senior pastor of Casa del Padre, Father’s House International, Portland, Oregon since 1999. He is an evangelist at heart who was called to serve the Lord at the age of 16. He is also the founder of Vision 5000 which is a vision to reach thousands of souls from different cultures and in this way fulfill the great commission.

Michelle Jones is a teaching pastor and the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Imago Dei Church. She also oversees Prayer, Spiritual Formation, and Global Outreach. She came out of the entertainment industry as an award-winning comedy writer, which uniquely prepared her for ministry. After her sharing in 2021 we were pleased to welcome her back this year!

We will also be led in worship by Steve and Jahana McCoy. Please register by clicking here
