Where Prayer & Mission Connect

May 8th & 9th

Virtually with Brian Alarid & Gail Stockamp

You want your prayers to connect with God…
You want to connect with God more through your prayers…
And you want your prayers to connect with the mission of God.

Prayer ConneXion 2020 will be held virtually using Zoom. Before registering, you must have created a free, basic online Zoom account using the same email address you will be registering with. This will ensure all sessions and workshops will be available to you.

When registering, please select the workshop you would like to attend virtually for both Session # 1 and # 2. On Friday, May 8 you will get an email from a Prayer ConneXion administrator notifying you of instructions for accessing the sessions via Zoom according to which workshop you selected at registration.

At the Mission ConneXion, the Prayer Workshop Track is one of the most attended sessions. The overwhelming interest in this track has quickened our hearts to expand the overall Mission ConneXion vision of continued training throughout the year by offering this event.

Session #1

10:30-11:30am: Brain Alarid

Local Application of National Prayer Movements

God has raised up wonderful prayer movements across the nation.  This workshop, designed for Pastors and Prayer Leaders, will discuss how these national movements can be applied locally and benefit local congregations.

10:30-11:30am: James Autry

Prayerwalking and the Power of Forgiveness

One of our primary prayer tools is prayerwalking.  Another primary prayer tool that Jesus explained to His disciples (in John 20:23) is forgiving sins.  Let’s learn how to do both and watch God answer our prayers of agreement for such a time as this!

10:30-11:30am: Rick Elzinga

Growing Your Personal Prayer Life

Rick will be sharing some very practical ideas he developed during the last 35 years to build a consistent and biblical prayer life. He will show us biblical reasons to pray (even if we’re not seeing answers) to motivate us to pray and practical steps to lean into prayer.

10:30-11:30am: Daniel Fender

Praying the Psalms: Responding to The God Who Has Spoken

So often we do not know what to say to God as we begin to pray. The Psalms give us language and the full anatomy of prayer. Learn to pray through the Psalms and begin the process of recovering a God dominated imagination!

Session #2

1:00-2:00pm: Renee Boucher

Making Your Home a House of Prayer

Perhaps one important lesson we can learn from this time of social distancing is how to make our own home a house of prayer.  This workshop will give participants an understanding of various types of prayers along with a wealth of resources that can help them establish daily rhythms and create places of engagement with God, right in our own homes and neighborhoods.

1:00-2:00pm: Dennis Fuqua

Facilitating Dynamic Corporate Prayer

Corporate prayer is more than individual prayer in a group setting.  Therefore, facilitating meaningful, group prayer is more than simply asking ?What are your prayer requests??  This workshop will give anyone who is responsible to lead a time of corporate prayer practical tools to make practical prayer tools so your times of prayer will be rich, rewarding times.

1:00-2:00pm: JJ Harling

Releasing the Arrows

God has designed our children for war. Many of us have settled to be the quiver that protects arrows, rather than the warrior that launches them out. In this workshop, we will explore how God has designed our kids for kingdom purpose.

1:00-2:00pm: Jody Mayhew

Removing Offenses

We will look at the first instructions given to the disciples, how that looked at the birth of the Church, how it looks now, and how it impacts our prayers of intercession for the nations.
